I've signed up to Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells bootcamp. It's been fun pushing myself and try out new topics and briefs. The first one was to design a journal cover based on Edwardian Brooches. Here's my submission.
And here's why
she's 6 months old now and much much bigger than this but has stolen my heart and taken up all my time
Things are still ticking over - new work in the pipelines and new jewellery range going up online any day now! In the middle of it all I hope to get a couple of hours to tidy my studio and take some pics - it's finished and fabulous - just want to do it justice!
I'm being evicted from my studio!
In three months time I'm to be evicted from my workroom- my lovely little space which has been so good to me is to be a nursery. :-)
So, I decided it was high time this grim space was transformed into a workable studio space.
Imagine it with glass doors, high landscape windows, lots of shelving and storage, work tops and desk space. Perfect.
Except that when it was cleared out it was deemed unsafe and this had to happen
and then this
and now we're at this
I'm actually really really excited to be having a brand new studio, built from scratch with all the mod cons like insulation, and double glazed windows and more than one working plug!! Far cry from some of the spaces I've worked in!
In order to celebrate my new build and to help in the packing of my old room I'm offering a massive 50% off all items in my etsy shop for the duration of the build. Originals are included in this offer so be sure to check it out and pick up a bargain or two.

I spent Monday up in the lovely Birr Co. Offaly hanging my new show 'Tall Tales and Short Stories' in Birr Theatre and Arts Centre. The show runs until the 27th September so be sure to check it out
Here's some pictures from Birr Theatre and Arts Centre Facebook page
I was so excited to be going to the Electric Picnic again this year - Irelands best music and arts festival is a blast every year. But this year I was rooted at the Salty Dog stage in the middle of the woods waiting to see himself and Beef Supreme play their socks off to a great crowd. The whole thing was awesome - If you like great toe tapping, knee slapping, rum swilling, fist pumping, honest to jaysus rocking tumage you could do worse than check out Beef Supreme.
It's all go here getting ready for my next show in the lovely venue of Birr Theater and Arts Office
I'm continually inspired by old folk lore and stories and this collection of paintings are drawn from told tales. Some examine the story teller themselves and some the story.
You can read more about the show here ---
I spent the last couple of days on a trip up to Birr, Co Offaly under the premise of checking out the space where I'll be exhibiting in September. Any excuse to go and hang out with Mary, Shawn, Lynne and all the dogs at Cadamstown.
Lynn is in the process of getting ready for a show opening next week - it's going to be massive! Here's a shot of her working on one panel
Lynne's show will be opening on the 25th July in St Johns Hall, Birr Co. Offaly
